What We Offer
The Listening House of St. Paul is a trauma-informed low barrier daytime drop-in center. We welcome our community with “radical hospitality” through essential services like hot meals, a clothing closet, access to phones, wifi, lockers, mail, a shower, and much more.
Radical Hospitality
We are part of the ecosystem of care for those experiencing homelessness and isolation in St. Paul. If the overnight shelters are the “bedroom” then we are the “living room” for our unsheltered guests.
For more than 40 years we have been a respite from the harsh conditions on the streets. We look guests in the eye, call them by name, and listen. We celebrate the joys; we help hold the sorrows. We make connections — to case managers, mental health outreach workers, healthcare professionals and housing specialists.
We know that our guests are the “experts of themselves,” but we also understand that they have limited access to resources. At Listening House, the coffee is always on, and we welcome guests Wednesdays through Sundays from Noon to 8 pm.
